Finally, all time favourite couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married. It seems that they discovered their love for each other on the set of Ram Leela, grown on the set of Bajirao Mastani & strengthened and deepened on the set of Padmavat.
Deepika and Ranveer’s Wedding: All You Want to Know
It is always said from our ancient times that “Marriages are fixed in heaven” an accomplice to this thought, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have announced their marriage date on Twitter, i.e. November 14-15 with the pictures of their wedding invitation card.
Venue of the Duo’s Wedding
The scenery of Lake Como set against the foothills of the Alps in Italy in no less than heaven on earth. The place where both Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh tied the knot is a famous retreat spot for the rich and wealthy. The lake is one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, adorned with many beautiful palaces and villas.
Pre-Wedding Rituals at Deepika’s Home
The pre-wedding ceremonies have begun 10 days prior to the D-Day. It is confirmed that Deepika and Ranveer will be putting on Sabyasachi outfits. In Bangalore Deepika along with her close friends and family, started the festivities with a Nandi Pooja, a ceremony performed to ensure that the wedding goes without any conflict and blesses the couple. Deepika wore a saffron kurta and dupatta that were styled with cream pants and jhumkas, all from Sabyasachi.
The two left for Italy on November 10. Early on Saturday morning, the two were seen with their families at the airport. Deepika maintained her poise and Ranveer was in his energetic self, twinning in off-white attires.
The Wedding Rituals in Italy
Their wedding ceremonies started on 12th of November in Italy. On the first day, two functions were held Konkani traditional ceremony Phool Muddi and engagement ceremony. Deepika was in a white dress while Ranveer opted for a black suit as they exchanged the rings. After this, a dinner took place where the bride and the groom thanked everyone for gracing their presence at the function followed by a Dance performance by the duo.

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone got married as per the Konkani rituals on 14th November as Deepika is from Karnataka and Anand Karaj rituals on 15th November as Ranveer is a Sindhi Punjabi. The Deepika and Ranveer’s Wedding was a completely private affair with the presence of close friends and family members. The guests were requested not to bring any gift, but to donate to Deepika’s charity. Deepika-Ranveer will be landing in India on 18th November, and then on 21st November, they will be hosting a reception at The Leela, Bangaluru, and on 28th November at The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Mumbai.
