Indian celebrity weddings are always fun to talk about, no? While the constant break-up and patch up phases are everlasting in Bollywood, this year has been very fortunate for some of our fav celebs. From Asin and Rahul to Yuvraj and Hazel to Bipasha and Karan, let’s take a look down at some of the most popular India celebrity weddings in 2016.

1) Bipasha Basu and Karan Grover
The gorgeous Bipasha got hitched to Karan Singh Grover on the 30th of April, with all the monkey-obsessed decor and celebrations. From the wedding décor to the cake to the princes cut pink lehenga for the Mehendi, Bipasha has shown us her clear obsession with the color Pink.
They went to the ever-so-magnificent Maldives for their honeymoon! Ah, dreamy!
2) Sana Amin Sheikh and Aijaz Shaikh
The ‘Krishnadasi’ star Sana Amin Sheikh tied the knot with TV shows director Aijaz Sheikh on January 14, in Mumbai. The 2-day wedding celebration including Mehendi and sangeet was attended by various other TV stars and their friends from the industry.

3) Asin Thottumkal and Rahul Sharma
Our very beautiful “Ghajini” star, Asin, got hitched to Micromax CEO, Rahul Sharma on January 19 in Delhi. She looked divine as she gave her entry in a Sabyasachi Lehenga and seeing that, Rahul Sharma must have fallen in love with her all over again.
4) Divyanka Tripathi and Vivek Dahiya
Actress Divyanka Tripathi just tied the knot with fellow TV star Vivek Dahiya in a beautiful ceremony in Bhopal. Much like Bipasha Basu earlier in the year, Tripathi too opted for a white wedding look for her pre-wedding shoot. The ballgown dress with a tulle skirt and a V neckline gave the actress a very fairy-tale princess-like look, which was accentuated by the curly locks.
5) Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal
Television’s favorite couple Sanaya Irani and Mohit Sehgal got hitched in a spectacular kick on January 25 in Goa, guys. It was grand and filled with the presence of famous celebrities.
6) Ali Merchant and Anam
Actor of the famous show “Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki”, Ali Merchant tied the knot with Anam in Kajrat on January 29. The wedding didn’t involve a grand celebration of glitters and sparkles but was rather a low-key, private affair.
7) Lisa Haydon and Dino Lalvani
Dark- skinned-diva Lisa Haydon tied the knot with boyfriend Dino Lalvani in a dreamy beach wedding on October 29. Haydon looked drop-dead stunning in a beautiful bell-shaped wedding gown and the wedding pictures are to gush over. Lalvani went for an easy on the eyes look by wearing a complementary white suit with an opened button shirt perfect for a beach look.

8) Irfan Pathan and Safa Baig
Irfan Pathan got hitched to Jeddah-based model Safa Baig on February 4 at Haram Shareef in the holy city of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. The wedding was a private affair surrounded by the family and close friends.
9) Aarya Babbar and Jasmine Puri
Ex-Bigg Boss contestant Aarya Babbar tied the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Jasmine Puri on February 22, 2016, in Mumbai. The wedding was a low-key affair which took place in a Gurudwara.
10) Preity Zinta and Gene Goodenough
Her wedding was the most awaited among Bollywood fraternity to add one more star to Indian celebrity weddings in 2016. Our adorable ‘Naina’ from the movie “Kal Ho Na Ho” tied the knot with her long-time boyfriend Gene Goodenough in a surreal wedding celebration.
The grand celebrations must have led Gene into a ‘Goodenough’ view of the Big Fat Indian weddings world. (I suck at making jokes, just in case you guys didn’t notice)
11) Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech
Probably the biggest cricket wedding of the year, the very adorable couple got hitched in a very big, fat, Indian way on November 30th. The both went for a twinning look in a gorgeous J.J Malaya creation.
12) Varun Aaron and Ragini
Indian cricketer Varun Aaron got married to his childhood sweetheart, Ragini on February 1, in a court wedding.
13) Abish Mathew and Archana Kavi
South Indian film actress Archana Kavi got married to the very-loved comedian Abish Matthew on January 23 in Kochi. The wedding was held in a private manner, but the Reception saw some famous celebrities in attendance.
14) Urmila Matondkar and Mohsin Akhtar
Urmila Matondkar married model Mohsin Akhtar in a low-key affair in Mumbai. She looked surreal in a heavily embroidered Manish Malhotra lehenga paired with green bangles like a true Maharashtrian bride.
These were some of the popular Indian celebrity weddings in 2016 that got us excited. They always seem to have some kind of magic in them (probably cos of the whole celeb guest list and the attire of the bride) and this year, in that sense, has been full of magic.
