2018-2019 was definitely the year of Celebrity Weddings, be it DeepVeer, NickYanka, Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja, Neha Dhupia-Angad Bedi, Isha Ambani-Anand Piramal, Shweta Tripathi-Chaitanya Sharma and the list goes on. Some preferred grand wedding while few chose a small private affair. Here are few looks from these star-studded weddings, which can be created.
1. Sangeet/Mehendi Look Inspired by Sonam Kapoor
Sonam wore an ivory and gold chikankari lehenga designed by Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla for her sangeet/mehendi ceremony. The traditional jewelry and dewy makeup made her look breathtakingly beautiful. Sonam started a trend that was not much seen in the Indian wedding scene. Although she had a heavy sequined blouse, she kept the lehenga comparatively lighter for ease of movement. The dupatta was pinned perfectly to one side showing off the entire outfit. For the jewelry, she opted for kundan and polki chokers, matching mangtika and a similar color intricate bracelet. For hair, she went with a criss-cross white mogra braid which was another unique element of her entire look. We think, this outfit of Sonam Kapoor was a superhit out of all her other functions. This look will surely be listed in a brides to-do-list of recreating celebrity outfits.
2. Wedding Look Inspired by Deepika Padukone
Deepika’s Sindhi-wedding outfit was like out of a grand Bollywood wedding. Coordinating with her better half in shades of red and gold, Deepika was dressed from head-to-toe in Sabyasachi. Her footwear, red thread-work juttis were by the designer in collaboration with Christian Louboutin. Sabyasachi has created the best styles for Indian wear, but this was something surreal. She wore a deep red colored heavily embroidered lehenga with gold detailing. One thing that stood out of this entire look was the dupatta on the actress’s head with the customized Hindu chant ‘Sada Saubhagyavati Bhava’ embroidered on it. She wore stunning Polki jewelry with an oversized Nath and mangtika. She wore a plain red choora paired with gold bangles, and a set of traditional Kalere to compliment her Punjabi bridal look. She was goals for all the brides opting for that traditional ‘red’ lehenga.
3. Mehendi Look Inspired by Neha Dhupia
Neha Dhupia chose a beautiful easy breezy blue and gold kaftan like dress by designer Masaba Gupta. We love it was an unconventional look both in terms of color and style. Kaftan is such a great idea for mehendi so that brides can be comfortable and don’t need to worry about their dupattas falling or picking up lehengas. Continuing with the simple theme, the bride sported an almost a no-makeup look with basic jewellery pieces. She chose a half-up, half-down hairstyle with a middle parting – a classic bridal Mehendi look! This is a complete fuss free and simple yet elegant outfit for your mehendi.
4. Reception Look Inspired By Deepika Padukone
DeepVeer after their grand and beautiful wedding ceremony at Italy, threw a grand reception at The Leela Palace in Deepika’s hometown, Bengaluru. Dressed in a stunning golden saree gifted to her by her mother from the House of Angadi, the actress redefined grace and elegance. She teamed her outfit with heavy emerald jewellery and a gorgeous rani haar. She chose a simple red bindi for her forehead with a heavy sindoor and hair tied in low bun with mogra around it giving a chic and elegant look. Her makeup was kept simple with focus on eyes and lips. Royal and regal are only the two words that come looking at this outfit.
