“Honeymoon” …enough to give goosebumps to you, if yours is an arranged marriage and if you still shy off before your partner. But believe me; Honeymoons are just a bit over-hyped. Here I will break to you a few honeymoon myths:
(yes, am being gross) but in terms of likes and dislikes, habits and does not mean only in terms of sexualityWell, the purpose of the Honeymoon is only to give you two some self-contained time to know each other. Knowing each other essentially behaviour and response. So first and foremost, you must not have a predefined notion of an ideal honeymoon as we are here to break some honeymoon myths, for there is no such thing as an ideal honeymoon. It’s just the sync between you two which should strengthen the emotional bond between you two.
But make sure, you do not skip anything that could make it miserable. Here’s a Master Checklist for the same.
1) You Honeymoon Only Once- one of the most undeserving honeymoon myths of all the time
“Hum jeete h ek baar, marte v h ek baar, aur ekbaar hi pyaar karte h. Saccha pyar“(We live only once, die also only once, and fall in love only once. True Love)…but honeymoon, definitely multiple times. What is it??? A law??? Of course, you have budget constraints!! But Honeymoons are meant for only you two to be together, so you could even take weekends off and spend time away in a nearby place. All that is important is you two to be one minded.
2) Be Together Every Second
Well, this should never happen. Take in some time to breathe alone and just be yourself. Even if that means sitting opposite to one another and stay quiet for some time. Sometimes, silence makes more noise. And of course, you need to understand that your soul mate’s soul is tired after the long wedding planning and tiresome rituals.
Again, if she is an adventure seeker, but you are afraid of heights; that doesn’t mean she should refrain from scuba diving. Let her go ahead and you applaud her and read a book waiting for her if you like doing so.

3) Be Happy All the Time
It is obvious for either of you to get mood swings particularly since it is right after the marriage. So, we advise you to be just yourself. After all, isn’t marriage and love about embracing one another with all the flaws and be together through the thick and thin?
Recommended Read: Tips for wedding Honeymoon
4) Do This and Do That, and Upload Great Images of You Two
There’s just one thing to say to suffice why it is a myth: “True Happiness and love is not in a bottle of pricey champagne or a lavish watch or a present worth a million, but it is in a million small things.” It is the responsibility of both to take care of the budget restrictions and let the instrument of your life play smooth, in accord.
5) You Need to Go Far Away, For Long and Spend Exotically
Well, it’s an open secret that their “great” implies “enticing”. Your honeymoon. Your rules. Spend it with each other. It’s imperative that you to spend quality time with one another and not only to flag your chemistry on social media. Well, just as some preach; those who upload less on social media, have more remarkable personal lives. So a piece of personal opinion, do keep some memories exclusively for you…which only you to know…and smile like idiots before others…may be in your 70s as well.
So these were some of our honeymoon myths debunked, now keep calm, enjoy your honeymoon and do let us know in the comment section about any points which we have missed or any great ideas or suggestions from your side :*

This is a story of love, passion, war and death. Undoubtedly, one of the most exquisite man-made structures, this white marble edifice is a symbol of love. The Qutub Minar is a landmark in the history of Indian history as it marks the beginning of the Muslim rule in India. Of course, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the QutubMinar is a 73-m tall minaret built by the then emperor of Delhi, Qutb-ud-din Aibak. The minaret is the standing ovation to the willpower of one man and his rise from a mere slave to the throne of the Sultan of Delhi. This five-storied monument constructed out of marble and sandstone. It is surrounded by some other archaeological sites such as the famous Mehrauli Pillar and the Qutub Complex, which should be included in your itinerary on your trip to Delhi.
Ajanta Caves

The caves of Ajanta and Ellora possess the earliest examples of art and sculptures echoing the rich legacy of the ancient times. The caves of Ajanta and Ellora support the statement that the Indian subcontinent is a melting pot of different cultures. The paintings on the cave walls echo the cultural legacy of Hindu, Jain and Buddhist art.The Waghora River flows along these caves and the healthy vegetation encompassing these provide the perfect atmosphere to explore and admire the majesty of the caves. The thick forestry around the caves has provided the perfect backdrop for some of our favourite romantic scenes in Indian Cinema. Red Fort
The Red Fort one of Shah Jahan’s other architectural ventures, after the Taj Mahal, can undeniably be termed as the second best among the historical attractions in India. It is built majorly of the red sandstone and took nine years to finish. In contrast to the purpose that it served during Shah Jahan’s tenure, it is now the epicenter of India’s annual Independence Day celebrations.Look back into the past through the souvenirs of the Red Fort Museum and the place aptly echoes the ethos of India’s freedom struggle.
Originally built in white limestone, the Red Fort was renovated during the British period and was painted red and since then the locals began calling it as the Lal Qila.
Sun Temple
Photo by Achilli Family | Journeys
Despite its impoverished state the temple complex which saw the light of day in the early decades of thirteenth-century lure tourists from all over the world. It is a tempting call for all to visit Konarak. Time has only augmented the beauty of the finest example of the Kalinga architecture. The temple’s in the shape of a chariot and was constructed to pay homage to the Sun God. The chariot’s wheels, images of animals and other patterns have all been critically etched. Once a year the early morning rays of the sun hit the idol inside the temple directly and reflect beautiful hues all over. This day is also the annual festival of the temple. The surrounding landscapes and the tall mountains covered with a beautiful green blanket, entice all.
Hawa Mahal
The Palace of Winds or the Hawa Mahal is a pyramid shaped monument, made of pink and red sandstone and comprising of a whopping 955 windows, which give an aerial view of the city. The architecture is plain yet commendable. The building was erected in1799 by Maharaja Sawai Singh to let the Rajput royal women of those times get a glimpse of the life outside the palace, for it was forbidden for them to appear in public. Many a cajoled eye have looked longingly at the world outside, as life slowly began to unfold in front of them. These windows have witnessed love and lust, passion and revenge, peace and war. The untold stories inside the Palace walls echo with the cool breeze that circles round the Mahal at all times. Glimpses from one of these beautifully carved windows give you a new insight into the busy lives down the street. These windows have witnessed quite a lot in the past few centuries.
Charminar
In the late 1500s, Hyderabad was struck by a horrifying plague- a plague which destroyed the very fabric of society and claimed the lives of lakhs of people. Eventually, the city reclaimed its former glory and in order to celebrate the city’s recovery from its aftermath, the then sultan, Muhammad Qutb Shahi constructed this four-towered building to celebrate the rejuvenation of the city. A perfect melting pot of different cultures, Char Minar is a standing ovation to the majestic city. Standing on the banks of the river Musi, Char Minar is an explicit illustration of Indo-Islamic architecture among historical attractions in India and is one of the must-visit destinations in Hyderabad.

Humayun’s Tomb
Humayun’s Tomb was constructed nine years after the death of this great Mughal ruler, who paved a bridge between the founder of the dynasty- Babur and Akbar the Great. Another interesting fact about the tomb is that it is perhaps the first monument to be constructed by a woman- Humayun’s widow. The monument among our historical attractions in India is a classic example of Persian architecture. Apart from being a fine reconstruction of the Mughal period and a golden page in the book of history, it’s beautifully maintained gardens, the Charbagh, serve as the ideal picnic spots for the visitors.
Gateway of India
One of the most iconic elements of the city of dreams, the Gateway of India is a reminiscence of the British Raj as it was built to honour the visit in Mumbai of King George. The evening spent at this monument, between the Arabian Sea and the Taj, with pigeons flying free, enjoying the street food by numerous vendors and hawkers, would possibly be the highlight of the day.

Honeymoon in Maldives: All You Need to Know About Maldivian Cuisine
Maldives takes pride in presenting to the world, an array of mouthwatering and irresistible dishes. Being a 99% sea area, it is but obvious that seafood is the most common part of a Maldivian delicacy. There are over one hundred islands leased to international resorts. The Maldivians enjoy a mixture of flavors from India and Sri Lanka. Fruits and vegetables are available in abundance here, thus forming a major part of the island’s cuisine. Maldivian cuisine is essentially based on three ingredients and their derivatives namely, coconuts, fish and starches. Whether it is imported or obtained from the resources available on the island, one the most reputable tour operators in Maldives, Crown Tours Maldives suggests only the best thus making sure that there is absolutely no room left for complains during your honeymoon in Maldives when it comes to food.
Maldivian Cuisine For a Perfect Honeymoon in Maldives
Freshly caught seafood, which includes a variety of fishes like tuna, cuttlefish and prawns, combined with rich flavors drawn exclusively from the Indian and the Sri Lankan cuisine, makes sure you leave your plates licked thoroughly clean. The majestic king prawn char-grilled, together with marinated lobster and a bowl of steamed rice and vegetables is a true delight for any seafood lover. Besides, soft-processed tuna is also used to make light snacks like Mastoshi and Fatafolhi.
If you’re looking for something heavier, nothing beats a traditional Maldivian curry which is usually served with rice, roshi (unleavened bread) and paaparu, Maldivian poppadoms.
After a full main course, to complete the meal, desserts like custard, bondibai (sugary sweet rice) or tropical fruits like papayas, mangoes, bananas and island-grown watermelons are served.
Apart from just the exotic food, Maldives offers its visitors with a wide range of sumptuous street food. Malé, which is the country’s capital, is the best place to go if you want to explore it. Obviously, most of them consist of the two main ingredients found on the island- fish and coconut. A walk through the markets of the capital is enough to help you get to know more about the kind of street food that is enjoyed in Maldives.
Do not miss the local favorites that include items like Bajiya, which is a pastry stuffed with fish, coconuts and onions, Kulhi Boakibaa or spicy fish cakes, Gulha which is another type of pastry filled with delicious smoked fish, Theluli Mas which is basically fried fish dressed with chilli and garlic and Kavaabu, which are deep-fried snacks made using rice, tuna, coconut, lentils and spices.
When it comes to imported food items, various countries show off their cuisines to the tourists in Maldives. The Japanese teppanyaki, traditional Chinese delights, Indian burst of flavours, fine Italian platter are a few among the lot. Even for a pure vegetarian, a lot of options are available- just as delicious. However, since eating and exploring new dishes is what makes travelling a whole lot more exciting, we recommend trying out the true flavours of the country.
Since the country is 100% Muslim, alcohol is not a common drink in public local islands but is, however, available at resorts. Keeping it more traditional, the residents prefer Sai or tea. Apart from these, Raa is a traditional drink that is acquired by tapping from palm trees. Otherwise, there is nothing more refreshing than cool coconut water at a beach in Maldives on a classic, sunny day.

Most Aesthetic Places To Visit For Your Honeymoon in 2018
A honeymoon is a perfect way to kick-start one’s married life, away from the world known to them! But in a world full of beautiful places, the decision of a perfect honeymoon location becomes a little confusing. So here are our top picks to help you choose the perfect place for your honeymoon in 2018!
Best Places To Visit For Your Honeymoon in 2018
Not sure where to go for your honeymoon in 2018? Let us help you choose a place –
1) Venice, Italy
A personal favorite of mine and a must visit place for any newlywed couple! Aptly known as the City of Bridges, the best Venice has to offer is its gondola rides. A gondola is a perfect way to go through the narrow canals and it lets you experience the true spirit of Venice. One can get lost in the narrow streets of Venice with the loved one, making way for a perfect evening. The best of Italian cuisine can be experienced here and the seafood is a must try! The St. Marks Square gives an all-around finish to the trip, where one can sit back and enjoy the melodious live music.
2. Paris, France
The City of Light is, without doubt, an incredible place to visit for honeymoon. This romantic city makes you fall in love with your spouse all over again. Confess your love in front of the famous Eiffel tower; visit the Temple of Love; take a trip back to childhood through Disneyland; shop around with your special one; sip a glass of wine by the banks of the River Seine. Paris is sure to give you the most memorable honeymoon, one to remember for a lifetime!
3) The Maldives
A tropical nation situated in the Indian Ocean, with beaches untouched by humans is a perfect getaway if one wishes to have an intimate honeymoon. Whether it’s laying on the soft sands with your spouse or taking a dip in the deep blue waters, a memorable trip is assured! The Maldives gives a honeymoon experiences different from any other as one can get an exotic couple’s massage or indulge in an exciting water sport. Standing hand-in-hand on the glowing beach of the Vaadhoo Island is a moment every couple must experience in their marriage life! The Maldives doesn’t disappoint on the food front either. The unique star-lit experience coupled with barbecued fish is nothing less than heaven!
4) Greece
Greece houses some of the best spots for a honeymoon in the world, namely Santorini and Mykonos. Santorini is an ideal destination for newlyweds, with its numerous romantic escapes. Charming architecture and alluring beaches are not the only things that make Santorini so special. Its magical sunsets, delicious wine, and picture-perfect villages will make way for a perfect trip and will leave any couple with lifelong memories. Mykonos, a place commonly visited by celebrities and commons alike, is not just about the lavish beach parties or the lively nightclubs, it’s about the gorgeous beaches, the delicious food, the warm culture and the welcoming locals. It’s the perfect combination of crowd and solitude. Greece, an underrated honeymoon destination, but probably one of the best there is.
5) Istanbul, Turkey
An unheard destination but surely one of the most unique and fun places to visit with your loved one. Istanbul as a honeymoon destination is famous for its active nightlife, numerous shopping centers, and scenic beauties. A lengthy history of empires offers a rich and aesthetic experience in architecture, landscape, music, cuisine, and art. Istanbul blends the best of eastern and western culture and surely doesn’t disappoint anyone who pays a visit. Authentic Turkish baths, golden sunsets, traditional Turkish breakfasts are only a few things that one can expect from this rich-cultured city.
A memorable honeymoon is one spent in the company of your loved one, in one of these beautiful places. A Gondola ride in Venice, a visit to the Eiffel tower, a soothing spa experience in the Maldives, a fun-filled night in Greece or a unique multi-cultural experience in Istanbul, whatever it may be, it is sure to make your honeymoon in 2018 an unforgettable one. Start off your married life with the perfect honeymoon.
